Privacy Policy

WeSlim is an AI-assisted wellness and weight-loss app. It provides wellness and lifestyle guidance only and is not a medical device or medical software. For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@weslim.ai.

WeSlim is intended for users who are at least 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

You provide, and we generate, the following categories of information:

• Account & identity. Your email address and name, created when you sign up. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth. You can sign up with an email address or with Google; if you use Google, we receive your email address and name from your Google account. Apple sign-in is not available yet.
• Profile & health preferences. Data you enter during onboarding and in your profile, including body metrics (weight, starting and goal weight, waist, height), demographics (date of birth, age, sex), your daily rhythm (wake/sleep times, first/last meal, meals per day), fasting plan, daily carb target, foods to avoid, and goals. This can include sensitive health-related information.
• Meal logs. Photos of meals, voice notes, and text you submit, along with the AI-generated analysis (foods, portions, macros/micros, Blood Sugar Impact, guidance, and swaps).
• Fasting activity. Start and stop events for your fasting timers.
• Body images. Photos of your face or body that you choose to upload for the "Future-Slim" visual feature and progress check-ins, the images generated from them, and body measurements over time. These are collected only with your explicit consent.
• Terms acceptance. The date and version of the terms you accepted.

When you upload an image, we validate its type and size (max 8 MB) and strip EXIF metadata (which removes information such as geolocation) before storing it.

Purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple handles your payment. WeSlim does not receive or store your card number or other payment details.

• Provide the core features: analyze your meals, estimate portions and Blood Sugar Impact, suggest swaps, run fasting timers, and generate motivational visuals.
• Personalize guidance based on your profile, goals, and daily rhythm.
• Maintain your account, remember your preferences, and record terms acceptance.
• Keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health data or body images for advertising.

WeSlim uses artificial intelligence to power certain features, including meal photo and nutrition-label analysis, voice and text meal logging, the wellness coach, barcode-based product lookup, and optional "future slim" visual previews.

When you use these features, content you submit may be transmitted to third-party AI providers that process data on our behalf. See Section 7 for our principal providers and links to their privacy policies. We may change or add providers over time; we will update this Privacy Policy when we do.

What we send to AI providers. Depending on the feature you use, we may send:

• Images you upload or capture (meal photos, nutrition labels, face or body photos for previews)
• Audio you record for meal logging (or text transcripts produced from that audio)
• Text you enter in the app (meal descriptions, coach questions)
• Context needed to personalize responses (such as your logged meals, fasting plan, and daily carb cap)

Your consent. Before we send your content to our AI providers for the first time, we ask for explicit consent in the app. You may decline; AI-powered features will not be available until you accept. Visual preview uploads require an additional, feature-specific consent before your face or body photo is sent for processing.

Accuracy and wellness disclaimer. AI-generated nutrition estimates, glycemic load scores, portion guidance, coach responses, and visual previews are estimates and illustrations for general wellness purposes only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or predictions of future health or appearance. Do not rely on them for medical decisions. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing your diet, fasting routine, or medications.

Content you submit and AI-generated outputs may be stored in your WeSlim account (for example, meal logs and saved visual previews) so you can review your history. Data sent to our AI providers for processing is handled according to each provider's terms and privacy practices. We configure our use of their services to process data only as needed to provide WeSlim features.

We share data with the providers below only as needed to operate the service. Each processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.

• Apple (App Store / In-App Purchase) — payments and subscriptions. Receives purchase data; WeSlim never sees your card.
• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage. Stores your email, name, profile, meal logs, and images.
• OpenAI, LLC — voice transcription (Whisper), text-based meal logging, nutrition and portion estimates, coach responses, and coach questions that include a meal photo. Privacy policy
• Anthropic, P.C. — meal and nutrition-label photo analysis. Privacy policy
• xAI Corp. — illustrative "future slim" face and body preview images. Privacy policy
• Open Food Facts — barcode lookups. Receives only the barcode (no personal information).

• Row-Level Security on all database tables, so each user can access only their own data.
• Private storage buckets by default; images are served through temporary, signed URLs.
• EXIF metadata stripped from uploaded images.
• Authenticated access using JWT bearer tokens.
• Body and visual images stored privately and encrypted at rest.

• Delete your account. You can delete your account from within the app. Deletion runs on a 28-day grace period before permanent purge. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered, even if you create a new WeSlim account later. Purged data includes your meal logs, fasting events, body measurements, check-in photos, and generated visuals.
• Reset your account. You can restore your preferences to their defaults without deleting your account.
• AI and visual consent. See Section 6 for how we obtain consent before sending content to AI providers, including the additional consent required for visual previews.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of WeSlim after an update means you accept the revised policy.
